Indiana Online is an accredited online program that partners with schools to offer over 180 supplemental courses, as well as a full-time virtual solution for intermediate, middle, and high school students. All courses are designed to meet the Indiana State Standards, are accredited and are approved by the NCAA. Our Advanced Placement courses have also been approved by the College Board. All courses that Indiana Online offers are developed and taught by Indiana licensed teachers, each teaching within his or her content area.
Indiana Online is a department of the Central Indiana Educational Service Center (CIESC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing free and at-cost educational programs throughout central Indiana and beyond. With our comprehensive services, we allow organizations to function at the lowest possible cost while maintaining the highest possible quality. CIESC programs include a number of collaborative ventures with other organizations and non-profits to improve the learning process.

We All Start Somewhere
The Central Indiana Educational Service Center (CIESC) acquired Indiana Online in the fall of 2005 and now offers over 180 courses including Core 40, Advanced Placement, and Dual Credit courses. Indiana Online continues to fulfill the mission of public education by becoming a statewide leader that presents learners with opportunities to succeed at every corner. Our courses are developed by Indiana teachers who are subject matter experts in their discipline. Our core courses have been approved for eligibility by the NCAA, our Advanced Placement courses are approved by the College Board. Through a unique partnership with Ivy Tech Community College and Trine University, we offer 15 dual credit courses. In June 2009, March 2014, and June 2019 Indiana Online was granted accreditation from the AdvanceED Accreditation Commission now Cognia. In 2024 Indiana Online was the first online program in the nation to receive program accreditation from the Virtual Learning Leadership Alliance (VLLA).
