Overview of the Program
Indiana Online offers English Learner (EL) Support to students from our partner schools in grades 5-12 providing personalized, synchronous instruction upon request. To see if your school is partnered with Indiana Online, check our Partner School List.
The program aims to help English Language Learners achieve their language learning goals through:
- Tailored synchronous instruction and online learning support with a licensed EL teacher
- Regular communication with students, parents, and Indiana Online staff to address concerns and track progress
- Adaptation of Indiana Online curriculum to enhance student comprehension
- Provision of detailed, actionable feedback and effective instructional strategies
- Continuous monitoring of student mastery of learning objectives
- Supplementary asynchronous resources to complement synchronous interventions
- Flexible asynchronous and synchronous interactions based on student needs
- Utilization of specialized EL Support instructional strategies for online environments
- Accurate and up-to-date maintenance of student records and data
The English Learner teacher assesses student progress and provides constructive feedback to support language acquisition and academic success.
Every new student will be required to attend an onboarding session.
Cost
Review our pricing structure for costs to be paid by the student or school of record. Price per student includes:
- A package of five (5) thirty (30) minute sessions over the period of the selected term.
Multiple session packages may be purchased.
There will be no drops or refunds once the sessions start. If the application is canceled prior to the first session, a full refund will be given.
