We have an exciting opportunity, as an iCAP course provider, to share with you from the Indiana Department of Education’s Office of Digital Learning, Indiana Course Access Portal (iCAP).
The Indiana Department of Education’s Office of Digital Learning is offering an opportunity to temporarily reimburse schools for student iCAP enrollments for the 2022-2023 school year. The reimbursement is provided through the U.S. Department of Education’s Expanding Access for Well-Rounded Courses Demonstration Grant awarded to IDOE. This grant program serves to provide students with courses currently unavailable within their school to promote well-rounded and accessible educational resources, which directly aligns with what iCAP offers. Please see the memo announced on April 1st in Dr. Jenner’s Weekly Update for more information. The Office of Digital Learning is having an informational session from 11 a.m. to noon ET on Friday, April 8.
As the memo outlines, school corporations must apply by May 6th if they wish to be considered for reimbursement. The application can be found here.
The opportunity is open to all schools and students, with funding prioritization given to the following student groups as defined in Section 4104 [20 U.S.C. 7114] of Title IV, Part A Statute: “female students, minority students, English learners, children with disabilities, and low-income students who are often underrepresented in critical and enriching subjects.”
