Kara Heichelbech joins the Indiana Online team as our Innovation & Learning Manager, overseeing innovative projects for Indiana Online and CIESC. She will play an important role in charting the course towards strategic objectives and the direction of Indiana Online while also providing online professional development for our teachers.
Kara’s most recent experience in education was at Center Grove High School as the eLearning Coach. She designed and facilitated many of the professional development sessions, for both their online learning platform and the traditional classroom experience, as well as worked with the Center Grove media center team to create a safe, collaborative, and engaging environment.
As an IU Kelley School of Business graduate and former business teacher, she was often utilized for her knowledge and experience with CTE, Dual Credit, and integration. Kara serves as an Adjunct Professor at UIndy in the School of Education, and she sits on the board of the Indiana Connected Educators (ICE), an ISTE affiliate.Â
Kara has also been selected as a tier-one presenter at the IDOE’s Reboot Summer Digital Learning Conferences. We look forward to all the skills and experience Kara brings to the table as she identifies innovative new strategies, business opportunities, and technologies that can meet or exceed the needs of Indiana Online and CIESC.
